Construction is moving along for the new Last Step Recycling facility in Chester, SC, where old metal is given a new life!
The unique 230,000 SF facility in Chester Technology Park will process automotive shredder residue (ASR) to recycle copper, aluminum, and other resources that can be harvested for reuse in appliances, cars, and other equipment. Last Step Recycling uses a cutting-edge, proprietary process that prevents these viable resources from being dumped in a landfill.
McMillan Pazdan Smith commits to sustainable design considerations in all of our projects so we are always pleased to contribute to a project with conservation goals.
The new facility is slated to be operational by Summer 2022.
Thank you to all of our partners on the project: McCrory Construction, Alliance Consulting Engineers, and Britt, Peters & Associates.
