Appalachian Regional Healthcare System Enjoys Topping Out Ceremony

We’re celebrating great progress on the expansion project for the Appalachian Regional Healthcare System Watauga Medical Center! The recent topping out ceremony is a milestone occasion for the 4-story expansion to the Boone, NC hospital.

McMillan Pazdan Smith and team designed the expansion and a series of enabling projects including a relocated ICU and new Central Energy Plant to address necessary upgrades that will help WMC continue to serve the local community. The new expansion will include imaging, 6 operating rooms, an SPD and 48 inpatient rooms. (We’ll share more information about that completed ICU renovation project & new Central Energy Plant soon!).

Many thanks to our Design/Build partners: Vannoy Construction and the whole team: Moore Lindner Engineering, EMH+T, Charlotte Engineers and 3DesignWorx.
