“One of my Clemson professors once said that a design education prepares you for any career path — every industry is improved by rigorous problem-solving through creative thinking,” Perkins tells her students.

In addition to practicing architecture, Perkins currently serves as an adjunct instructor of architecture at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities.
Clemson World Magazine did a recent feature on alumni teaching the arts at the Governor’s School. Read the full article here to learn how Perkins and other Clemson alumni have used their background in design education to inform their teaching.
