Cary Perkins, AIA Promoted to Director of Design Engagement

#ideastakingshape isn’t just our company tagline, it’s a description of the creative work that goes into our dedicated design process. To continue the priority placed on this culture within the firm, we recently created the role of Director of Design Engagement and named Principal Cary Perkins to the position.

Cary has been with MPS for over 17 years, beginning her career with us as an intern and remaining as a project manager in the community studio. Through this tenure, she has worked with every studio across each office, focusing on educational, civic, nonprofit, and cultural spaces, helping to foster a culture of #gooddesign.

In her new role, Perkins will work to support the creative process in all offices and studios by promoting diversity of thought, cross-pollination between creative teams, and regular critique as a cultural objective. “My job will be to focus energy and effort into our creative culture,” says Perkins, “supporting teams and advocating for a high level of design thinking and innovation offered to our clients and communities.”

Congratulations, Cary!
