Georgia Tech Students Tour the New Hapeville Library

Last Week McMillan Pazdan Smith along with our design-build partners, Albion Construction, led a group of Georgia Tech’s American Institute of Architecture students on a construction tour of the Hapeville Library. The Hapeville Branch is a new library facility for the Fulton County Library System rapidly approaching completion. It was great to engage with aspiring young designers and share with them a building under construction that addresses modern challenges for libraries, environmental sustainability, and the unique context presented by the site. It also provided an opportunity for us to discuss the design-build project delivery model and showcase the benefits of teamwork between general contractor and architect in a partnership-based delivery system. We are proud of our work alongside the Albion team and cannot wait for this project to open to the public!
