McMillan Pazdan Smith designed this 53,405 SF residence hall and athletic field house for Wofford College to incorporate a unique mixed-use program.
Incorporating residence life, athletics and academics under one roof, the building includes single and double-occupancy rooms alongside locker rooms, lounges, mudrooms, and team offices for baseball, softball, and golf teams.
Each floor has common areas with kitchen, laundry, and trash facilities, plus study nooks. Outdoor patios offering great views of Wofford’s campus are accessible from the second floor.
The design aesthetically matches the historical context of the campuses existing residence halls and athletic buildings.
This award-winning design will be featured in American School & University’s 2021 “Architectural Portfolio” issue shipping in December.
