McMillan Pazdan Smith Earns Two AIA Charleston Design Awards

McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture has received two of six Honor Awards presented by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Charleston Chapter at their annual design award ceremony.

The Cooper School, (pictured, above) a private K-5 school, and Mixson Bath and Racquet Club (pictured below), a private swim and social club, were among the firm’s projects honored. The Cooper School addition leveraged a limited budget to provide a new entrance and striking street presence through close collaboration with students and faculty. Mixson Bath and Racquet, designed in association with Lake Flato Architects, provides amenities such as a pool and cabanas, bocce and badminton courts, a full service restaurant, bar and special event venues.
