McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture is pleased to announce that Jim Langlois, AIA, LEED AP has joined the firm as a Healthcare Principal and Office Director.
With over 25 years of national and regional experience in healthcare, research, and higher education planning, Jim will lead the company-wide Healthcare practice as Studio Director and will manage the Charlotte office as Director.

Jim has devoted his entire career to healthcare and higher education clients and their highly complex design projects. For the past decade, Jim worked with a large design firm as Healthcare Principal, managing their national program for the country’s largest healthcare system. As the founding Managing Principal, Jim established and led their architecture office in Charlotte which had a primary focus on healthcare.
Jim is also a well-known presence on the University of North Carolina-Charlotte’s campus, serving on the Dean’s Advisory Council and providing mentoring, guest critiques and lectures for the university’s architecture program. As a former member of AIA Charlotte’s Board of Directors, Jim has played an influential role in guiding Charlotte’s growth as a design community.
