The official groundbreaking of the Anderson University Football Operations Center took place on May 3rd of 2022 — marking an exciting milestone in this new athletic program for the university.
In 2019, Anderson University announced plans to add football as their next intercollegiate athletic program, with a goal to kick off their first game in 2024.
The university selected McMillan Pazdan Smith to design a 45,000 SF state-of-the-art operations facility that will be located on the southeast endzone of the stadium and spread across three levels.
The building will not only serve as the daily operations center for the football program with coaches’ offices, locker rooms, team meeting rooms, and a training and sports medicine center. The facility will also include a multipurpose space for student-athletes. Hogan Construction Group (SC) is the general contractor for the project.
AU hopes to begin playing in 2024 as an NCAA Division II program within the South Atlantic Conference (SAC.) We’re thrilled to be one step closer to the Trojans’ inaugural football season!
