Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Expansion Has Entered Phase II

With 2022 just around the corner, we’re excited to announce that Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center has entered phase II of its $400 M expansion. The multiphase construction project launched in 2019 and involved renovation of existing patient rooms and enhancement to the women and children’s center. For this phase, we are working in collaboration with Gresham Smith to design a new, five-story, 193,480 SF critical care tower. The five-story tower has been designed to complement the existing hospital’s brick, glass, and metal panels.

This much-needed expansion will include 60 critical care and 36 medical-surgical beds, along with a completely redesigned surgical suite. The new building will also greatly enhance the patient experience by providing larger rooms with more privacy and natural light, as well as add critical care services to Winston-Salem and the surrounding area. Stay tuned for more updates as this project progresses!
