Located in South Carolina, Central Carolina Technical College (CCTC) is a public, two-year college with campuses in Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee, and Sumter Counties. McMillan Pazdan Smith was chosen to design the Kershaw County Academic Building and Conference Center expansion where CCTC now offers all courses required to earn an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree. At 30,000 SF total, this included design and construction for the academic building on a 24-acre site.

The academic building includes classrooms, laboratories, and faculty office space. The technologically advanced design is compatible with the surrounding facilities, provides limited disruption of current activities, and features a cost-effective and energy efficient layout. Construction completed in 2018.
