In association with Good City Architects

Awarded: AIA Greenville Design Awards, Merit Award, 2015

Clemson University engaged McMillan Pazdan Smith and Good City Architects to develop a new learning and research laboratory space within the R.M. Cooper Library with the goal of facilitating student and faculty digital literacies in the context of courses, research, and creative inquiry. This new space highlights the partnership between Clemson University and Adobe and is designed as a space where students and faculty can invent new learning opportunities and transform communication practices across disciplines while showcasing the use of Adobe products in the 21st-Century workplace.

Working with state-of-the-art publishing hardware and software, Adobe-trained experts will lead workshops, consult one-on-one with students and faculty seeking help with a wide range of projects, and assist in the production of high-quality work for distribution to the University and public. The Adobe lab features recording studios for creating audio files and provides printing equipment to produce high-quality publications including variable data printing projects and display posters.

The Adobe Digital Studio gives students, faculty, and staff access to the latest and best technologies used to create high quality print and digital media. It is outfitted with work-station furniture designed to encourage mobility and collaboration.

The Studio houses computer hardware and peripherals, including tablets and mobile devices, workstations in multiple operating systems, monitors, wall-mounted displays, printers, scanners, audio-video equipment, and projection technologies, and of course, Adobe Creative Cloud software.
