Elliott Davis, Greenville

Elliott Davis, a top 30 accounting firm within the U.S., commissioned McMillan Pazdan Smith to renovate and update their Greenville headquarters, which consists of 65,000 SF of space over four floors. The project was divided into four phases to allow the client to continue working in the space during the renovation.

The design team was tasked with developing a new corporate identity for the firm, while also reorganizing the space to encourage more interaction and collaboration, as well as to attract and to retain top talent. The project achieved these goals by eliminating full height walls where possible and introducing glass and low height partitions. The renovation organized all collaboration and break areas along the exterior of the building to maximize availability of natural light for employees and to encourage both spontaneous and planned interaction in these areas. Private offices are organized around open workstation areas to allow managers to work in close proximity with their teams. Additionally, the project incorporated low height workstation furniture with adjustable height desks to facilitate employee exchanges. The lower workstations also visually open the work space.
