Located on the southernmost parcel in Union County’s Midway Green Industrial Park, the Lockhart Power Speculative Industrial Building is the result of a turnkey design-build delivery method of construction. Intended to attract a large, utility-intensive manufacturing company, the county requested that the facility’s aesthetics and overall quality be highly competitive throughout the state.

McMillan Pazdan Smith designed the 100,000 SF shell, expandable to a minimum of 200,000 SF, using insulated, precast walls with clerestory windows and knockout panels to provide additional windows for natural daylight enhancement of the building. An attractive storefront entry and modern building aesthetic provides an upscale appearance. With 32′ bays and column spacing of 50’x50′, the expansion wall is designed with removable insulated metal panels to maximize open space within the building following the proposed expansion.
