McMillan Pazdan Smith transformed the 14-acre, former rail station site in downtown Greenville into a vibrant extension of the city’s Main Street development by creating a mixed-use / residential community of apartments and condominiums with supporting retail establishments that encourage further downtown residential development.

Known as McBee Station, the project includes two city blocks of commercial retail development comprised of small retail shops, a Publix grocery store, and a Staples office supply store supported by an adjacent subterranean parking garage that serves both retailers and residents alike. Our design team drew upon the historic character of the downtown architecture and utilized a warehouse and historic mill approach to break up the overall mass of the building and maintain a pedestrian scale along the McBee Avenue façade.
