Mission Health, Eckerd Living Center
The 9,400 square foot Eckerd Living Center, a skilled nursing facility in North Carolina, was renovated in 2013. Six existing patient rooms were converted into two day rooms and the existing nursing station and staff support spaces were relocated for better efficiency and patient flow. A Low Stimulus Room was also added to provide a quiet, calm atmosphere for residents.
3,800 square feet of the renovation consisted of reconfigurations to the dining and activities building in order to enhance the existing dining areas and convert the living and recreation rooms into two new activity rooms. To improve the exterior aesthetics of the building, a new front canopy was added to provide a welcoming entrance.
