Publix Supermarket + Retail Shops
Collaborating with Publix’s real estate department, private developers, and municipalities, McMillan Pazdan Smith has provided design services for numerous Publix site adaptation projects across the Southeast. Publix is the largest and fastest-growing employee-owned supermarket chain in the United States — and incorporating their mission to be the premier quality food retailer in the world, our firm approaches each project with the same level of quality assurance criteria.
For the Mauldin, SC location pictured above, our work included site adaptation and a front canopy design that complements the existing and proposed retail center, along with the Publix building prototype. The design team also created 8,000 SF of freestanding retail shops to complete the shopping center.
In Birmingham, AL, our design team provided services for a new retail shopping center consisting of a 45,600 SF Publix and 22,400 SF of specialty retail space.
In Clemson, SC, the team balanced complicated site issues and strict architectural covenants to create a unified shopping center design anchored by a 54,800 SF Publix and supported by 23,200 SF of specialty retail shops.
