RD Anderson Applied Technology Center, Spartanburg School Districts 4, 5, & 6
RD Anderson Applied Technology Center was unable to accommodate the increased course work needed to support Spartanburg Districts 4, 5. A 26,500 SF addition with 11 instructional spaces including medical science, technology, graphics, and hospitality was added. The hospitality component includes a 2,400 SF culinary arts teaching kitchen with a classroom that includes teaching stations with commercial kitchen equipment. Of the four health science labs, one was designed for sports medicine and features an ice machine, whirlpool, and exam tables.
To meet the growing market for technology related careers, the addition also includes spaces for architectural design and graphic arts. Fire protection and protective services labs have access to an outdoor training area with fire trucks and training vehicles.
RD Anderson Applied Technology Center is proud to continue training students for career fields in an expanded center.
