Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas

The Ronald McDonald House has served the Greenville community for 25 years, providing a home for critically ill or injured children and their families. The previous facility had only 12 guest rooms and minimum support space — and while they served 400 families in 2015, they had to turn away 250 families due to lack of adequate housing. The new design creates a warm welcome home feel that resembles the existing home and surrounding neighborhood, while the landscape design provides outdoor gathering spaces, gardens, and a playground area. The 17,500 square foot renovation includes 13 additional guest rooms, 2 mediation rooms, a large community kitchen and dining room, a family room, an expanded guest check-in area, and ample support space for staff and volunteers. RMHC can now serve 24 families and hundreds more annually with this expansion and renovation.

The project broke ground in April of 2016 and opened in June of 2018.
