Roy Metal Finishing, Plant Expansion
Due to their expanding client base and service markets, Roy Metal Finishing commissioned McMillan Pazdan Smith to master plan a new operations center located in The Matrix, an industrial park in Greenville County. Working to align Roy Metal Finishing’s current and future needs with the existing 83,200 SF shell building and 21-acre site, the master plan was phased to result in a total of 166,400 SF.
Public areas include guest and employee parking and a commemorative plaza outlining the company’s history. Loading docks, chemical tank storage, and recycling areas are compartmentalized away from public/pedestrian areas to effect the most efficient site layout.
Interior modifications to the existing building incorporate the latest in automated plating equipment technology, and include a project exhibit area showcasing Roy Metal Finishing’s many capabilities, from automotive to aerospace to industrial applications. Business and production office areas support the manufacturing process, along with flexible amenity areas for staff and visitors. As Roy Metal Finishing expands their business, this facility is designed to grow with them through every phase.
