Spring Hill High School, Lexington-Richland School District 5

Awarded: SC Association of School Administrators (SCASA) Palmetto’s Finest Award, 2018 – 2019

Design for a new 230,000 SF high school enhanced the educational programs available for School District Five in Chapin, SC near Columbia. The high school houses 1,200 students with a core of 1,700. Two-story classroom wings span from a central entry with media and administration programmed together, and a separate wing houses fine arts and athletic facilities. Athletic spaces include a regulation gymnasium to seat 1,500, a practice gymnasium and associated locker rooms. The Fine Arts program includes rooms for band, chorus, and string practice along with a multi-purpose room to seat 400 with retractable seating and flexible lighting and sound systems for various needs such as drama and music performance.

The project completed in August of 2012.
