The Waterfront, Daniel Island

The Waterfront, Daniel Island’s newest neighborhood, is an active celebration of its shoreline vistas. EW Daniel Island Investor, LLC commissioned McMillan Pazdan Smith to strategically vision and design a five-phase, 27-building, mixed-use riverfront community. The master plan includes two public-access piers, about 300 condominiums in 21 buildings, organized around Charleston inspired gardens, townhomes, and retail offerings. The development features a waterfront restaurant with rooftop bar overlooking the Wando River, a freestanding market, and direct access to the new Daniel Island Waterfront Park. Promoting a healthy lifestyle, amenities include a fitness facility, pool, on-site property management, and connections to Daniel Island’s 25-plus miles of walking / biking trails.

Working closely with the landscape, planning, and development team, McMillan Pazdan Smith leveraged our design expertise in lowcountry residential, mixed-use, and hospitality environments to create all of the signature building elements — including the amenities, restaurant complex, and a prototype for each of the residential offerings.
