The Dorothea Dix Care Unit for Adolescents at Cape Fear Valley Health System reached a major milestone last week with the “Topping Out” ceremony held in Fayetteville, NC. Members of our Healthcare team had the pleasure of signing the last “steel beam” of this freestanding building that will house an adolescent behavioral health inpatient unit, serving up to 16 patients.
Funded by a grant from the Dorothea Dix Foundation, the new building stands at just over 8,500 SF and will provide space for fellows to learn and work as part of the clinical team. The significance of this project means even more to families who can now have their children treated locally instead of traveling long distances for care.
Thanks to a great group who helped bring this vision to reality! M. B. Kahn Construction, NV5, and The East Group.
