We are working with the Greenville Triumph soccer team on a multi-purpose 8,100-seat stadium that will create hundreds of jobs and serve as the USL team’s home field.
The proposed stadium will be built in Mauldin at BridgeWay Station on a six-acre site near I-385. It will anchor the mixed-use retail, office, residential, and entertainment features of BridgeWay Station that we are currently designing with Phil Hughes.
The stadium will be a “transformative” venue for the whole Upstate — with the ability to host 150+ community events a year in addition to the men’s and women’s Triumph soccer seasons, youth soccer playoffs, concerts, festivals, and other sports, such as football and lacrosse. Imagine eating at Poogan’s Southern Kitchen or one of BridgeWay’s other fine restaurants, walking to a Triumph game, then finishing the evening at one of the urban village’s new entertainment venues.
MPS Project Architect, Chuck Carnes, says, “from the jumbotron to the flexible event spaces, this venue will not only support an incredible Triumph gameday experience, but will serve other Mauldin and Upstate community events as well.”
The project should have a positive economic impact from day one without requiring a tax increase. The stadium is planned to be completed for the 2023 season.
